Design Backlog

Been doing some fun design projects at work lately and forgetting post them here. Here's some highlights:

Windows 10 Ninja Cat

Windows 10 Ninja Cat was for a blog post that was sprung on me last minute. This illustration was completed in about 30 minutes. I often wonder why the ninja are so often used in weird context in everyday American culture. Like, can you imagine how pissed everyone would be if traditional Native American warriors were used the way the ninja are? Sigh. But that's for another post. Onto the next.

System Administrator Day

SysAdmin knuck tats. Somebody get them, please.

This was a fun illustration which really pushed the limits of our brand style guidelines. But if you're gonna get stylishly off-brand, Twitter is the place to do it, I guess. Also, I did a lot of googling, and I never saw anything at all with "SysAdmin" knuckle tattoos, which makes me think maybe I had an original thought that no one else had ever thought before? Awesome.

UI/UX WordPress web design for our page about Ignite 2015

Another one-day project. Designed, coded, and launched this page in one day. Microsoft would probably not be happy about us Adaptiva-izing their Ignite squares, but we wrote them quite the check to sponsor their show, so maybe they can let it slide.

We've been doing a lot of these dark blue gradients lately, and I'm really into it. Looks very elegant.

I've got some other projects in the works that I can't post about yet, but I'll try to remember to post them individually in the future.
